nope... not at all. ive got digital cable and ive only got one box. (in the livingroom). the only things you need is 1)to make sure that the other tvs your wanting to hook-up are cable-ready. and 2)split the cable BEFORE the box. just buy a splitter and run the wire. youll get all the basic channels but no pay channels (HBO,MAX,etc...).
heck... my modem and router are on one of those splits as well.
