No offence here but I just can't understand some people. For instance the original poster looks like they spent a great deal of money on PC parts. Now why in the world would you spend thousands for your computer and have some junky 4.00 stock fan on top of your cpu..

Proper cooling is worth it considering, you can be losing your entire $2500.00 investment..

In closing, get a new CPU FAN/HEATSINK!

P.S- I noticed a poster who said their AMD1700+ is @2.1 gig.. How the heck did you manage that?
