Well horror stories are all right on.I bought 5 blu ray movies from Jr. They canceled 1. Then refused to honer original price. Really what kind of black hole is this? Don'T buy nothing!

We apologize if this customer is not happy with the processing of their order. We do not have any record of this customer contacting us regarding this issue. We were sold out of one of the movies ordered by the customer. Since we do not keep a Back Orders for this type of item we needed to cancel the one item when we shipped the remainder of the order. I will be calling the customer today to see what we can do to assist them.

Ordered an Ultra X3 1000w power supply on 11/22/2008. Took one business day for the order to be processed and verified. Shipped a few hours later :D  
 
I highly recommend this site if you aren't able to order from Newegg, etc.

I ordered a Nikon 70-200 VR lens from JR and got quick delivery. Unfortunately the lens was defective, which I confirmed with Nikon USA. I called JR for a return authorization, which was promptly granted. I shipped the lens back for exchange on the 13th, they acknowledged receipt on the 14th. A replacement lens was shipped the following Tuesday and received Wednesday. Based on their follow-up for a problem, I would recommend JR highly. Their customer service is quite good.

suck, I did my part to comfirmed all billing address(shipping address) and they still doesnt want to complete. Just like to ask for home phone number to call back. Hello... Most ppl using cel now, wake up!

We truly apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused the customer. J&R's credit process on orders is a two-fold process. The first is to get a credit authorization; this confirms that the amount is available. The second part of our credit process is an Address Verification, to make sure that the shipping address on your order is listed on your credit card billing information as either the billing address or an alternate or ship to address.  
This is for the protection of our customers, to ensure that there is no fraudulent use of credit cards. This is the point where we needed further verification on the order. This customer's credit card would not verify billing information and we do require either a home or work landline phone number or a copy of the customer's ID.  
We were being diligent for our customer's protection, and security of their credit card. If this customer needs further assistance I ask for him to call me directly at 800-426-6027 Ext 1310.

Bought an Olympus FE-240 camera. Great price but I didn't like having to call to confirm the order. That's obviously a ploy to get you to add on to your order (which, like a fool, I did by buying a generic camera case that I was told was "custom made for the FE-240). Then four months ago - less than a year after I bought the camera - it stopped working. When I contacted Olympus for service I discovered that J&R never sent a warranty card, so I suspect this was a returned/refurbed camera.

We have read with alarm the posting of Mr.Beall and have looked into this matter. He purchased this camera a year ago in November of ’07. Several points must be made clear.  
 
1) We never call back for an up-sell. The purpose of our Credit Department’s call is to verify credit card information and address to prevent fraud. At no time on this credit verification call are other items offered.  
 
2) We cannot locate an order for this customer for the case he claims to have bought , either on-line or over the phone.  
 
3) We sell only factory-fresh, sealed merchandise unless it is clearly labeled refurbished or open-box. As such, warranty registration cards would have been in the manufacturer’s box. Again, a year later it’s difficult to reconstruct what was in the box.  
 
4) We have no record that this customer ever called us after this sale. The first hint we had that there was a problem was when we saw this post. As an organization we are very concerned with customer satisfaction, which is why we review ratings websites and do whatever we can to address any complaints.  
 
 
 
In spite of the fact that a year has elapsed since this item was purchased from us, we have reached out to this customer in an effort to aid him as he pursues the potential of warranty service with the manufacturer, Olympus.

I ordered a panasonic dmc fz28 camera through amazon "more buying choices".It was the lowest price on the web. a little nervous about some of the reviews for J&R, but ordered anyways.I ordered late morning on nov.17,shipped ups 2nd day air. had tracking # by late afternoon on the 17th,recieved camera at 8.45pm on the 19th.very satisfied with transaction

Ordered an Olympus E-420 kit through Live Search cashback. The camera shipped promptly with no hassles.  
 
I was a bit concerned looking over the reviews, but it appears to be billing address/telephone number verifications. Your ship to address and telephone numbers must match your billing address. This industry is the hardest hit with credit card fraud and these verifications are understandable. Call your credit card company and make shure this information matches where you want your high end electronics shipped to.
